Washing

Unless your garment's care instructions state otherwise, we recommend washing garments inside out to help protect the outer fabric, print, trims, sequins or any delicate details.

Where possible, wash with similar delicate items and avoid anything with heavy hardware, zips, hooks or rough textures that could catch or snag the fabric.

For extra protection, place your garment inside a laundry bag and wash on a gentle cycle at no warmer than 30°C / 86°F.

Fringe & delicate trims

Pieces featuring fringe must be hand washed in cool water. Wash gently and avoid rubbing, twisting or wringing the fringe, as this may cause tangling or damage.

Do not tumble dry. Allow the garment to air dry naturally away from direct sunlight, gently arranging the fringe while damp to help it retain its shape.

Drying

Please wash light and dark colours separately to avoid colour transfer.

Do not tumble dry. We recommend air drying your Syl'a'Vie pieces naturally, ideally inside out and away from direct sunlight, as strong sunlight can cause colours to fade over time.

Swimwear

Chlorine, salt water, sun cream and tanning oils can be tough on fabrics.

Rinse your swimwear in cool clean water after wearing, especially after swimming in the sea or pool.

Delicate fabrics

Although some fabrics may feel more delicate than others, we recommend treating every Syl'a'Vie piece with care.

Our garments are handmade, so a little extra care when washing and drying will help preserve the fabric, fit and finish.

Storage

Allow garments and swimwear to dry naturally before storing, and avoid leaving pieces damp or wrapped up for long periods of time.
